It has been a very long time but i forgot how stressfull the first few weeks can be and my mind got ‘carried away’. However, i am here to share my experiences and fill you in once again!

The other day as i was trawling through the many social worker magazines that adorn my boyfriends house, mainly due to the parents both being in this profession, and had come across an article which seemed to catch my attention. A basic act passed through that explains the situation in which if a child that is placed in a family and is not related by blood who is also found to have been emotionally, physically and psychologically damaged by the adults they have to be removed. Regardless of whether the adults who cause the damage have other children who also show signs of abuse and there is clear evidence against them, they are not legally allowed to confiscate the children. A recent case in Basingstoke showed that a little girl was being beaten but not significantly and therefore didn’t remove her from the home. A child also in residence was taken but not because of the abuse but because she wasn’t blood related and they knew there was an abusive history in the family.

Too me this is injustice. Unless a childs injuries are significant they are not even considered for a case! Surely this is not how our system which outlines in various sources of the constitution and bill of rights that we need to protect everyone. Whether they are blood related or not and the sympathetic attitudes of the law who believe ‘parents may beat others but it doesn’t essentially mean they will beat their own’. WRONG!

I know it is confusing and i apologise for my rambling but i needed to vent my anger towards this injustice and our corrupt system, am i from greenpeace? NO.

Just  a humble person with a point of view that outlines the protection needed for all.

It was the fatefull day for hundreds of thousands of students around the United Kingdom and to myself it seemed like any other day looming, However, the butterflies had set in and before i knew it i was shaking with a nervous feeling bubbling over the surfaces. It was time, time to see if hard work had paid off and more importantly, time to see if I was going to be taking the same ridiculously strenuous and to be quite honest a little delusional subjects this next year.

As it turned out, i will not be continuing Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.
This is simpy because as the year progressed my interest in these subjects diminshed and there was a serious lack of motivation on my behalf to even make the effort in these subjects. I am not making excuses for my pitiful grades and I am certainly not making my disinterest a scapegoat for my inability to cope with exams, just merely trying to push across my theory as to why I failed all 3.

Maybe. Maybe, it was the length of these exams because i had to re-sit the Biology and Chemistry exams again as i failed in January, Maybe i should have taken that as a hint to drop the subjects there and then eh?
The Biology was about Two and a half hours and the Chemistry seemed to take forever. The psychology exam, this was a whole other story. It was 2 papers long and about three and a half hours, plus extra time for the fact a class mate had fainted half way through the exam causing a booming crash in the Hall?

However, it isnt all doom and Gloom.
I managed to get an A on my Politics exam and i got an extremelly high A at that, this kept me from a breakdown on the day and to be honest, just goes to show, I am not a complete dumbass.
